In what country do job seekers apply for a position and, when told to come to be interviewed for the position, they refuse, and then, surprise! Surprise!, the employer still goes ahead to hire them for the job, ignoring other candidates who took the trouble to come to same interview?

How does that happen? Where in the world does that even happen?

In Nigeria. Twice.

Prof, you might think Tinubu is making a big mistake and jeopardizing his ambition by dodging interviews, but he is just following the precedents of his predecessors who did the same thing and still went ahead to win the elections.

Obasanjo did the same thing in 1999 during his first campaign for president. He didn't come to the presidential interview and he still won the election. Twice.

The empty vessel currently in Aso Rock didn't come to the presidential interview in 2015 during his 4th attempt at becoming president. He still won the election. And twice too, just like Obasanjo.

So Prof, don't blame Tinubu. He can chose not to come to any presidential debate and he still won't lose any of his supporters.

If you want to truly understand Nigeria, stop trying to study the country from a rational, logical sane point of view. You need to see Nigeria the way people like Atiku, Buhari, Obasanjo, Tinubu etc...see the country if you truly want to grasp the madness driving the country.
