ANAP Foundation is wrong Prof.

The real winner of that poll isn't Obi.

The real winner is Tinubu.

That such a man is still able to garner any support to even win second place after his disastrous outing in London, and after he's refused to attend presidential debates is shocking.

Truly shocking.

I wish I was a wordsmith like you Prof. This is worse than shocking and I can't find a better word to describe it.

The real news here which the polling has revealed, is the mind boggling ignorance, stupidity, and tribalism that is still well entrenched in the Nigerian body politik as shown in Tinubu placing second ahead of Atiku.

It means Tinubu still has a significant following.

I thought when it came to Nigeria politics, that the country had already hit bottom and Nigeria had no further to fall. But with Tinubu placing second place in a polling, Nigeria has hit a new low. We've just went one rung lower in the smelly, slimy pit that's Nigeria.

Tinubu has set an ugly precedent, and what that poll is really telling us is that it's ok for presidential candidates not to come to debates, and that it's ok for some other people to answer questions for them.

Perhaps ANAP Foundation should have started the survey with an introduction by asking the respondents to imagine they owned a company and that they had a job opening. Would they employ a job seeker who refused to come for an interview? Would they give the job to a candidate who passed the questions over to friends and family who came with him to the interview?

Even for a tribalist, it just doesn't make sense to vote for Tinubu. Even tribalism as bad as it is, has its limits. Beyond that point, one must begin to question the sanity of the people who will vote for Tinubu.
